Baton has evolved from something primarily seen in parades and football fields into a sport that encompasses the stamina of a long-distance runner, the hand-eye co-ordination of a baseball player, the grace of a ballet dancer, the flexibility and tumbling skills of a gymnast and the determination and dedication to be successful in any sport!

What is Baton?
Baton twirling has evolved from something primarily seen in parades and at sporting events to a sport of its own, blending endurance and athleticism with the performing arts. Baton twirling has been demonstrated at major mainstream sporting events around the world, including the World Games. Two major international organizations host world championships with twirlers coming from all corners of the globe.

Baton twirling requires stamina, hand-eye co-ordination, grace and flexibility. Encorporating dance and gymnastics, it is a great activity to boost physical fitness and encourage positive self-image
